Will The Rod Rig fit my car?

The Rod Rig fits all SUVs, station wagons and vans with parallel rear windows, which is nearly all of them. Click this link for a visual explanation if needed.

How many rods can my Rod Rig hold?

Every rod rig ships with five (5) rod holder attachments. Your ability to use all of those attachments may depend on your vehicle, your headrest locations, whether you're using child car seats and so on. Most vehicles people have no trouble using all 5 holders.

The Rod Rig is engineered with rods of all types in mind. Of course, the size of your vehicle may be a limiting factor, but we've done what we can to ensure that The Rod Rig is not!

Can I install it myself?

The Rod Rig is specifically designed to be easily assembled, installed and adjusted by a single person. Assembly requires just one tool, which is included in the kit. Start to finish, expect to spend 10-15min to go from unboxing to completed installation.

Love the sturdiness of the rod rig and the super easy set up. I only wish I could add a few more holders on it but overall I'm happy with the product.

So I had found this product that you offered about a year ago I referred a friend to it. Not sure if he purchased it, but the price was kinda high. I was hesitant to purchase it in the end. I ended up buying it after trying several different ways of carrying my rods around in my Jeep grand Cherokee I absolutely love the product. Happy that I purchased it.

Hey Ramon, Thanks for giving us and The Rod Rig a chance, happy to hear it didn't disappoint!!

Fantastic addition to my 4runner. Keeps rods out of the way of danger and prevents tangling of line/lures during transit. First realized I needed a rod holder when I would move from fishing hole to fishing hole and had to break down my fly rod everytime. Now I can just put whole rod away and hop in vehicle and keep moving. Saves time and energy and helps me spend more time doing what I love without tedious take down. Definitely recommend and have received multiple compliments

Hey David,

It's all about a little more time to get a few more 'last casts' in before you call it. Glad to hear its keeping your investments secure and easily accessible!

This thing is sick, i've been on the lookout for a rod holder for vehicles and this was exactly what I was searching for! Would pay this price for the security of my rods.

Hey Andrew,

Excellent product. Easy to assemble, easy to install, easy to use. You can run multiple rods through each holder if need be, and the adjustable tension cord makes them nice and snug. My ONLY complaint is if you have a big vehicle like me (suburban) the bar has to stretch out so much that there is a considerable amount of unusable space since the rod holders only fit on the exterior part of the bar. The internal part used for adjusting the length of the bar can’t support the holders. I can still fit all 5 on the main bar, but they’re a lot closer together than I’d prefer. Still an excellent product.

Hey Travis,

We already have some prototypes that would allow you to relocate some of the carriers to the smaller extrusion side. Check back in a couple months, we hope to have those solution ready by then.

Great design perfect for my suburban although it would be nice to have a second option of a 50”-65” just for extended slotted bar for extra rod holders to fit.Still highly recommended

We appreciate that feedback! We have a few idea we're considering for adding more rods on to the smaller end of the telescoping extrusion.

it's The Rod Rig is well constructed and the suction cup system used to keep it place works great. It's a great system to safely carry your fully rigged rods broken down into two pieces. I have used it with both my surf rods and fly rod. For those who complain it does not work with their fishing rods at full length, it's not the Rod Rig - your vehicle is too short. Anyway, I highly recommend the Rod Rig for conveniently and safely transporting your fishing rods to your destination and letting you quickly start fishing.

This is an amazing device. I love how easy it was to assemble and install and its ease of use. I e struggled to find something to hold my fly rods in transport and this does the trick. I also love how easy it is to love from vehicle to vehicle if needed. Thanks again!

As intended, glad to hear it, Derek!

Functional accessory to safely travel with 7’3” fishing rods in 2023 4Runner. The O-ring on one SeaSucker pump required grease to maintain vacuum. Simple maintenance no repeat leaks. Good product.

Best vehicle rod holder I’ve ever owned. Previously used the strap styles that were a pain and didn’t work well with fly rods. This one is excellent with anything from a surf rod to a fly rod. Highly recommend.

I bought the Rod Rack for a trip to British Columbia. It worked great. I had it set up to use 4 rods. The 4 rods were able to fit between the 2 back seats. The rods were very easy to remove and replace and were very secure. A suggestion would be to add a second tier under the the main rod for additional storage of rods.

Best rod holder for your suv..( Subaru Forester)....came in very handy on a long 4 1/2 hour drive fishing trip. Did not have to lay rods down next moving coolers or hitting my passengers on the head and shoulders ..

Hey Jose, Glad to hear it arrived quickly, let us know what you think of The Rod Rig once you've had a chance to put it through its paces!
