Step 1: Position the Mounts
Open your vehicle hatch and identify the rear mounting area. The system is designed to attach near the rear hatch opening - high enough to keep rods suspended without interfering with cargo.
Step 2: Assemble the Rod Holders
Assemble the hook and holders and install on the pre-assembled crossbar.
Step 3: Insert the Crossbar
Slide the crossbar into place one one side of the vehicle and pump the vaccuum cup to secure. Repeat on the opposite side. The bar should be level - check visually.
Step 4: Load Your Rods
Insert rod handles into the rod holders. Adjust spacing as needed so reels don’t touch. Loosen vacuum cups and re-secure as needed to get rod angles correct for your vehicle.
Step 5: Double-Check and Go
Give the setup a quick shake test. Everything should feel solid. You’re done - ready for the road and the water.
Conclusion
You’ll spend less time untangling rods and more time fishing. Once you’ve used The Rod Rig™, you’ll wonder how you ever managed without it.
